AI Support & Implementation for UK Businesses

From Copilot rollout to bespoke AI assistants and automation — we help you adopt AI safely, securely and with measurable ROI.

The Problem

Every business is being told to 'use AI', but most pilots stall. Staff paste sensitive data into public chatbots, IT has no visibility, and leadership can't see any return. Off-the-shelf tools don't understand your processes, data sits in silos that AI can't reach, and there's no governance, no training, and no measurement. The result is wasted licences, leaked data, and a workforce that's sceptical of the next initiative.

How CLD Computers Helps

CLD Computers runs a structured AI adoption programme for UK SMBs, schools and professional services firms. We start with a discovery workshop to map the highest-value use cases — drafting, summarisation, research, customer service, document review, data extraction. Then we deliver the tooling: Microsoft Copilot for M365, Copilot Studio agents for your line-of-business processes, bespoke AI assistants built on your own SharePoint, OneDrive and database content, and automation flows (Power Automate, n8n, Zapier) that remove repetitive admin. Every deployment is wrapped in proper governance — sensitivity labels, Data Loss Prevention policies, prompt logging and a clear AI acceptable-use policy — so your data stays inside your tenant and outside public models. We then train your team, measure adoption, and iterate so AI becomes a productivity multiplier rather than a shelf-ware experiment.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to use AI tools like Copilot or ChatGPT with our business data?+
Only if you choose the right tool and configure it properly. Public consumer chatbots (free ChatGPT, free Gemini) train on your prompts and should never see confidential data. Enterprise tools — Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Copilot Studio — keep your data inside your tenant and don't use it for model training. We help you pick the right tier, lock down sensitivity labels and DLP policies, and write an AI acceptable-use policy so staff know exactly what they can and can't paste.
What's the difference between Microsoft 365 Copilot and a custom AI assistant?+
Microsoft 365 Copilot works across your Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and SharePoint to draft, summarise and analyse content. A custom AI assistant (built on Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI or open-source models) is purpose-built for a specific job — answering customer questions from your knowledge base, triaging support tickets, generating quotes from a product catalogue. Most clients use both: Copilot for everyday productivity, and one or two custom assistants for high-volume workflows.
Can AI read our SharePoint, OneDrive and internal documents?+
Yes — that's the foundation of any useful business AI. We use retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to ground the assistant in your own SharePoint sites, OneDrive folders, intranet pages and even SQL databases. The AI then answers questions and drafts content using your real data, with citations back to the source document. Permissions are inherited from M365, so users only ever see content they're already entitled to.
How long does an AI implementation take?+
A Copilot for M365 rollout with governance and training typically runs 4–6 weeks. A custom assistant or Copilot Studio agent for a specific workflow is usually 6–10 weeks from workshop to go-live. Automation projects (Power Automate, n8n) often deliver value inside 2–3 weeks per workflow. We always start with a small pilot before scaling.
How much does business AI cost?+
Microsoft 365 Copilot is currently around £24.70 per user per month on annual commit, on top of an existing M365 Business Premium licence. Custom assistants and automation projects vary based on scope — typically £4,000–£15,000 for a first workflow, with low ongoing run costs. We provide a fixed-price proposal after the discovery workshop so there are no surprises.
How do you stop staff leaking data into public AI tools?+
Three layers: a written AI acceptable-use policy that staff sign up to, technical controls (DNS filtering, Defender for Cloud Apps, DLP policies) that block or warn on uploads to unsanctioned AI sites, and crucially — giving staff a sanctioned, enterprise-grade alternative so they don't need to use the public tools in the first place.
Do you support AI for schools?+
Yes. We help schools roll out Microsoft 365 Copilot for Education and Copilot Chat with the right safeguarding controls — age-appropriate filtering, prompt logging where required, staff training on KCSIE-aligned acceptable use, and clear policies for pupil-facing AI. We work closely with DSLs and SLT on a deployment plan that satisfies governors and inspectors.
Can you automate processes outside Microsoft 365?+
Yes. We build automations across Power Automate, n8n, Zapier and bespoke APIs — connecting Microsoft 365 to your CRM, accounting system, helpdesk, e-commerce platform and line-of-business apps. Common wins include automated invoice processing, lead routing, customer onboarding, report generation and inbox triage.
